hallo from beijing

So I'm finally settled into my dorm. It's not too bad. I think I will survive 8 wks here. Hehe. The place was recently renovated so it's fairly nice, the only odd thing is showering without a designated 'shower area' so ur most likely to get water all over the toilet. hahaha. Kinda reminds me of a friend's place in Manchester. Haha. .
I managed to get internet hooked up pretty quickly so I can feel a lil more at home. Weird thing with internet is that I can't seem to read ppl's blogs that are on blogger, BUT I can access the blogger posting site, which is weird. Ah well, guess I'll catch up on all your blogs when I get back into HK.
Nothing exciting to say yet as classes don't really start til Friday, but I do have orientation tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have more interesting things to tell u guys. So far I've only met a nice girl from US who has already been here for 9 months and will be going out for dinner and beer tonite to meet some other ppl. I shall investigate the pub scene here. Hehe.
