Re-watching movies...
I find that when you watch a movie for the second, third or however many times after the first, you tend to pick out more details. You either fall in love further with the movie, or have a different opinion on it. The thing I enjoy most about re-watching movies that are memorable, are that you get to anticipate the parts that you enjoy most. Maybe it's just the movies that I have at home, but I seem to be enjoying Julia Roberts' movies more and more. Well, the more mooshie ones that is. Some of the quotes are just breath-taking when you watch the movie. Well, okay, not breath-taking, but you get caught up in the movie and all the mooshiness you have spills out of you, and whoever is sitting beside you can see how cheesy you really are. And, no, I'm not the kind that tears up easily, but I do get emotional sometimes.
Anyway, a couple days ago, they were showing Notting Hill on tv, and I was able to catch the last bit of the movie. Luckily, I didn't miss the best part of the movie. When Julia Roberts was telling Hugh Grant that she wanted him back (this part was so mooshie and 'lum') she had said, "I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." It was so sweet.
Bah! Look at what movies do to you. Producers and playwrites always seem to know just what to say and capture the audience at just the right moments. I don't think in real life, ppl are creative enough to say such mooshie, yet meaningful things at the moment that they should. It just doesn't work that way. hehe.
If you guys remember Runaway Bride, Richard Gere made a fantastic proposal on the spot. He had said, "I guarantee there will be problems. I guarantee that at one time, one or both of us would want out of this relationship. But I also guarantee that if I don’t ask you to be mine, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life. Because in my heart I know that you are the only one for me."
Now, my question would be, how does someone come up with something like that when someone asks you out of the blue? hehe. I know, I know, don't over analyze a movie, just enjoy it or you'll ruin it. Oh well, I guess watching these cheesy movies makes up for what doesn't happen in real life. hehe. I know, I'm a cheese ball. :OP
