printworks...

I headed out last nite to watch oceans 12 with a few of my friends here. It is sad to say that it was my first saturday nite out here in manchester. Yep. It's the second half of the school year and I've only been out once on a saturday nite (I've been out on other nites just not saturday). Dun blame me! Half the time it's too cold and rainy to be out at nite. Anyhoos, it was nice to see canal st. filled with ppl at nite. It really is quite a scene, sparkling lights from bars/pubs on one side, ppl drinking and smoking on the cobblestone road and the reflection of party lights off the lil canal.
The one thing I found amusing was how all these party-goers would dress. Damn, it's cold here and they're wearing next to nothing. I understand if you were in a place that was hot and tropical, but hallo, it's like 3 degrees and spitting rain. Some of these chickies are wearing things that let too much hang out. I guess it's fashionable to wear clothing that reveals purply-blue skin covered with goose bumps. Go figure.
Anyhoos, the last time I saw a movie we went to the AMC which was quite nice. This time we decided to go to filmworks which is a theatre that also had one of those imax thingies. It's inside a building called printworks. Really neat place. Has basically an indoor cobblestone paved street where it's just filled with clubs one after the other. I gotta say, it was a fairly enjoyable evening, even though the movie wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be.
So that's my saturday nite, movie and lots of half-naked chickies on the street in cold cold mancunian weather.
