lectures...
So it's been a week since classes have resumed. It seems that the courses are getting more difficult to grasp. Maybe it's just that the profs have decided to make it really hard for students to catch on to the subject by making us purchase pricey textbooks that dun make much sense and providing us with outlines that dun really outline anything. I guess the difference between attending uni in the UK and Canada is that we have on average 3 profs that teach each class. They like to separate each course into modules. I find that a bit confusing as when you finally grasp a prof's way of teaching they leave and another one comes in. But then again, there is a huge difference between taking science subjects and law subjects. I've discovered that in law you really need to keep your own version of the facts playing in your head as you interpret what the prof is trying to convey. I kno to a certain extent everyone does that in lectures, but I find it much more complicated to think this way in law. Sometimes profs like to go around in circles and your mind is just screaming 'spit out ur pt!' Oh well, picking up new skills in my law school career can only be a positive thing.
Oki, enough about classes! I got an unexpected email from a girl I met on my backpacking trip. She's in Fiji!! That's so neat! I guess her work abroad year has ended for her. I wonder if I'll ever work abroad, as in outside Canada and HK. Hmm..
So my sis will be in T.O for Chinese New Year. Lucky duck! She'll only be there for a week but if you peeps wanna find her she can be reached at my fido number. Hmm. I wonder if she'll end up introducing her bf to daddy. DUN DUN DUUUN! hehe. If she does, good luck stefalufagus! :O)
A bunch of us here are going to head to a chinese restaurant for a nice chinese new year's eve din din. We're also planning to go to the (oki this is sort of lame) chinese + singaporean + malaysian society chinese new year/valentine's day celebration. Why I say lame? Cuz it's a fused event organized by the 3 separate socieites AND it's a combo for chinese new year and valentine's day AND it's on the 15th or something. That's like after all the events! Oh well, we decided to go cuz there's nothing better to do here and we figure we could meet more ppl. We will see how that goes. hehe.
Uh-oh. Too long of an update. DUN KILL ME PENNY! blog later! :O)
