happie valentine's day!

Hope all you luv birds and non-luv birds out there have a great valentine's day. You guys are all my valentines. Teehee. Yesh, I'm a greedy one, mine! You guys are all mine! Hehe.
I woke up this morning totally not realizing it to be valentine's day until my friend greeted me with a cheery "HAPPIE VALENTINE'S DAY!" on the way to class. Very out of it and groggy I responded with a "I thought it wasn't til tomoro?" Haha. Oy. Talk about being out of the loop.
Anyhoos, so one of my friends told us in class that she woke up and stepped on a rose. Ouch! Thorns! hehe. Obviously our first thought was some secret admirer of hers decided to sneak into an all girls dorm and lay some roses at her door, but sadly no, the dorm decided to give everyone a rose. Haha. But yeah, what a way to wake up. "Ouch! Paaaain!! Oooh! A rose!" haha.
I went into town to pick up a birfday card for my dad and it seems eeeveryone forgot about valentine's day or something. The card stores were filled with ppl grabbing anything and everything that was red, filled with hearts, stuffed and cuddly, or flowery. It was quite amusing. I've never seen anything like it. Also, I duno if I've mentioned before but there is always this group of Chinese ppl that sell roses and other nite glowing sticks and stuff on the streets. So there they were today standing every meter or so with an armful of single stemmed roses. It's like everywhere you turned people were trying to jump on the v-day band wagon and earn some extra cash. But seriously, I've never seen a mad consumer day like today. I always thought valentine's day was a consumers gimmick, but until today, I didn't think it was this bad, but it is! Hehehe.
Anyhoos, gotta get back to some mad work. Happie V Day everyone!
