what ba? we're going to become vancouverians??
So I was chatting with my dad today as usual, when the topic of where our future home will be, came up. I had always thought that my dad would go back to his native Shanghai. What with all the hype of new canadian-like wood homes being built in the suburbs and how Shanghai is becoming one of the most fashionable cities to live in, I truly thought my dad wanted to return there to retire. Wrong wrong wrong. My dad seems to be quite content living in Canada. Apparantly, I might become a vancouverian. He decided that the milder weather in vancouver might pursuade my mum to return to canada. Also, I guess he wanted a change of scenery and apparantly he said it's in the "perfect" location in respect to where most of my family members will be residing (HK, JPN, US). It seems to be the best reunion spot.
Gah! I want to remain a torontonian!! What to do? Thing is, it seems he's going to lure me in with the 'ideal' family home I've always imagined. You know, the big lawn, the nice house, pool with a view of the ocean. Nice enough to want to have your wedding in the backyard-type family home. Haha. So tempting. He even told me that he'd try to get all the things in the home that I had always wanted. Hahaha. He's expecting all his daughter's weddings to be held in the old fashioned way in his backyard. Interesting thought eh? hehe.
Anyways, I get to choose if I want to become a vancouverian or remain a torontonian. I think I'll just wait and see and decide when that time comes. At least I'll have a place to stay in vancouver if I decide to visit! hehe. :O)

did daddy really say he's going to get a house where we can have backyard weddings?! that would require a REALLY big backyard wor... and if it's right beside the ocean.. waaaah niiiice!!! hellz, that's enough enticement for me to marry! bahahahaha :P
shanghai is no good. too much pollution. Vancouver has clean air and it's a quieter and calmer city. Plus tonnes of chinese people... most importantly no crazy winters so it's more comfortable... and yeah definitely closer to HK and JPN.
