Sunday leisure...

So I've backed out from dragon boat. Which, overcourse, sucks. I was enjoying it a lot, meeting a lot of ppl too. But I had to withdraw from the team cuz I was going to miss a lot of key practices before the Stanley Race.
Basically, I would be away from HK till race day. Poo. I told my team I'd cheer them on that day. I think we chartered a yacht that day, so I might just be watching them from the boat. I hope both our Team A and Team B teams will get some good ranking this year. My good ol' friend took over my empty spot, and I'm sure he'll do much better for the team than me, seeing that he exercises constantly.
Anyhoos, I'm at home on a sunday afternoon, chillaxing. I haven't had a moment to myself since I've come back to HK. I decided to sleep in today. I think for the first time since returning to HK from T.O. I didn't realize how much sleep I was lacking. I woke up to find it was already 1:30. I was out cold. Bleh.
Work tomorrow morning again. I have a tonne of stuff to do. Work never seems to stop. When I fly off to London on Saturday, it'll probably the longest 2 and a half weeks. Why? Cuz I'm screwed. Originally we had 4 ppl going. Now it's down to two. Lo and behold my boss decides that the engineers dun have to go. Me and my co-worker were pissed, just cuz we had promised our clients we would bring engineers. And now? Well, we gotta cover our asses somehow since there are no engineers to take a look at some of the parts that were having some problems. Grrr. So anyway, my schedule is pretty packed. Between time spent in transporting ourselves to and from places, we'll be stuck in meetings. Bleh. My schedule so far is to spend about 4 days in the UK, 5 days in France, 7 days in the US and Mexico. I'm actually a lil worried about crossing the border from US and Mexico. According to my co-worker's last experience, it wasn't the safest place in the world. GREAT! We get to cab to the border then WALK across the border and then get picked up on the other side. Considering that my co-worker and I are female and chinese won't help us not stand out in the crowd. At least if our engineers were there, it would have been a bit better. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to see. It'll be an experience. On the brighter side, I'll get to eat real authentic mexican food. Wait...I'm not a fan of Mexican food...hmm....AAAAAAHHHH!!! Anyhoos, so I get to work over 3 weekends away from HK. Woohoo! Plus jetlag from flying around the world. Woohoo! I'm looking forward to that! Okay, if you didn't sense it, I was being sarcastic. Well, actually, all this business travelling is a good thing. I get to see how different cultures function on a normaly daily basis. I get to see how business is done and other stuff you might not be able to see when you travel for phun. I'll somehow make up for the travel for phun thing later when I take short trips to places in Europe from the UK. Woohoo!
Oh, I don't think I have updated you guys on my whereabouts in Sept yet. I will be in the UK for the next 4 years. I think classes start Sept 20th. I'm suppose to return to toronto July 20th (if work doesn't delay me). I might be jetting for the UK end of August, leave my belongings and then head for France for a few weeks before school starts. Anyone that is free at the end of August is welcome to join me.
Okay, I think my blog is way too long. I'll blog again later. If I don't blog for a few weeks, sorrie peeps, probably cuz I'm just really busy with work/jetlagged. In the meantime, hope you all have a kick ass month of June. Love you and miss you all! I can't wait to see you guys in 8 weeks. Count 'em! Only 8 weeks! Hehe. Tas for now.
