Langkawi, Malaysia

I just got back from my detox vacation to Langkawi. The white sand beaches and beautiful sunsets were the best. My sister and I went with two other friends for the long weekend. It was great! Got a tan (sunburn on my scalp too i think), and managed to squeeze in 2 spa sessions at the Andaman. Beautiful view. We had private outdoor villas that looked over the Andaman sea while we had our spa sessions. Absolutely beautiful. At first we planned to go snorkeling, but the ppl said that since it was rainy season, the waters wouldn't be very clear. So, in the end we ended up chartering a small lil dingy boat to take us island hopping for half the day. One of the islands we landed on, we had to hike in for 15 mins where we would reach this enclosed clear water lake. The water was fabulous. This other island we went to had really clear waters, I saw a whole bunch of nemos not to mention inky squid. We ended up the boat trip by just stopping the boat in a spot where we had a clear view of the setting sun. We turned off the lil engine and just sat and watched the sun dip into the watery horizon. It really was breath-taking. All you could hear was the water splashing against our lil tiny boat. It was a fantabulous sunset!
Anyhoos, the trip was a lot of phun. Took lots of pics with my friend's digicam and will post them up once he gives me the disk. His cam took really nice pics. He had one of those really neat nikon slr digi cams and he brought along his really nice lens for scenery taking. I had a load of phun playing around with it. Gives me ideas. hmmmm. Another gadget to get? haha. Nah. I love my small digi cam, it'll do for now. Hehehe.
I think I might be heading to malaysia next week for business again. Life in hk is mundane as usual. Again, I have to say that I really can't wait till my cousin comes to hk!! He'll help me maintain my sanity for another 3 months till I come home. Yay! Anyhoos, will update later with link to either my friend's pic page or I'll upload the pics to my sony site.
