lots to say...
I actually have a lot to blab about, but it'll take too long to write it all down. Blah. Anyhoos, today as I was going to school on the bus, I ran into some Canadian dudes. It was great! Since I was wearing my Waterloo jacket and they were all sporting Toronto gear (from Raptors t-shirts to Roots clothing), it felt great to see some fellow canadians. I know, I'm weird. But as that group of ppl got off the bus, they all nodded and smiled at me. For a sec, I didn't feel so alone here. Hehe.
For some odd reason, I've been easily amused lately. Ppl on the bus might think that I'm some person who just got let out from the nut house or something. It's like this, if I see a chubbie babie gurgling or some phunnie cartoon on the bus (yes, they have tv's on the bus that run commercials and cartoons over and over again), or some old granpa hugging an old granma laughing away, I smile like a goof ball. It's great!
I've discovered something bad about ppl in HK. Everyone I have met so far, they all seem pretty nice, but for some odd reason (maybe ti's just the ppl that I ahve met), you get the strangest feeling that they have alterior motives, or have this evil/tricksies streak in them. "gan" as I would say in Chinese. It's so odd and I'm afraid since I was HK-born and am now being submerged in this culture, my hidden evil streak may be brought to the surface and I will soon be transformed into an "evil" - streaked person. I duno how to explain it, but ppl here are so very different.
On a more interesting note, but still on the topic of HK ppl, I have a perfect example of an HK person being rude. Last night, I went for a swim. As I was getting dressed, a person came into the change room in shorts and t-shirt (possibly from having finished working out). This old lady walked out from the shower/sauna area and started asking this person, "are you a girl!??!?!" in chiense. I was so shocked that she came straight out to ask the person. Duh, if this person had a female locker key and is in a female locker room, would she not be a girl?!?! Okay, given that she had a boy haircut and a very male-like body from over-working out, it's still rude to stare and ask. She was so pissed and said in english, "sorrie?!?!" and stormed off into the shower. I think any girl would be pissed if someone came up to them and askedif they were a girl. Sigh. Ppl, THINK before you speak!! Aiya.
