update...

So the weekend past by pretty quickly. It was phun and tiring at the same time. I went shopping with my sis (what else is there to do in HK?). I stayed over at my sis's place friday and sat nite. We couldn't do much on friday cuz there is a half day of work on saturdays here in HK. I didn't have to go to work so I slept in for a bit and finished up some work at my sis' place for her instead. Sat nite we had some phun.
We went karaoke-ing and bar hopping at LKF. Karaoke was phun. The place that we went to was really kool. It was like a semi-hotel kind of thing. They had different sized rooms on 3 floors and each room had their own private bathroom. Hehe. Neat eh? Well, apparatnely it used to be higher class than it is now (it used to be managed by some other company). The phunnie thing that happened that nite was that in the middle of a song they cut us off and a flash bulletin with "POLICE SEARCH" went up instead. The intercoms went on and they were saying there was a police check. Haha. That was when I really felt like a bad girl. I only saw these "police checks/raids" in chinese gangster movies/sitcoms. It was just like in the movies. Cops came in with their cop badges around their neck and asked for ID. I gotta say though, it took at least 5 mins for them to get to each room, so ppl who had drugs or anything had plenty of time to flush it down the toilet or throw it out the window. Hehe. The cops didn't really check us though, cuz our group was only 5 girls, there was no alcohol on the table (instead there was lemon tea, hahaha), no cigarettes, no nothing. Anyhoos, so that was the excitement of the evening. I told my sis that mum didn't know we went back out after din din at my mum's place and telling her that we got ID'd by cops would have gotten her so scared. Hehe.
We headed to LKF afterwards and did a little bar hopping cuz my sis and her friend were tryign to organize a party for a friend's birthday. We also managed to meet up with this guy that my sis was suppsoe to meet up with. Let me tell you, I was so uncomfortable that evening! Why? Cuz my sis's friend was at a birthday party and it was really odd seeing all these ppl piss drunk. The birthday girl gave us kisses and introduced herself as a name other than her own. (she was sooo out of it) Anyhoos, I met like a bunch of ppl there whom I only know first names and were pretty much drunk. I didnt' like it at all. I asked my sis is that how ppl meet ppl, and she told me that many of her cell fone numbers in her cell fone she only knows by first name. Oy. I wasn't very comfietable at LKF. It's definately not my thing. But, some of the more 'sit down and have a nice drink' bars I can do.
Anyhoos, today was my first day fo school. I was so excited I didn't sleep well last nite. hehe. I felt like a clingy kindergarten kid this morning. I kept on whining and saying "IIIIIIII duuuuuuuun waaaaaaannaaaa gooooooooo" and "nooooooooo...dun make meeeeeeeeeeeeee goooo." Hehe. Childish as I may be, I was realy scared! But I managed to get to school without getting lost and picked up my schedule. My second year class has a total of 12 ppl and we sometimes split off into grps of 6. So fairly small, so you have a chance to practice speaking. Majority of the ppl in the program are from Japan, Korea, U.S and Singapore. All of them were old though, all married and either are tryign to have kids or already have young kids. There was only one other person in my class that was about the same age as me. Yay! I found a friend, I think. Haha. At least he was just as lost as I was since we were both new to the second year program. My whole class seems very friendly, but at the same time silghtly clique-y since they were all in first year together. After my classes ended, I felt good. I think it's cuz now I know that there is goign to be some sort of routine in my life that gets me out of the house and is something I can channel myself into. My mind does phunnie things when it's not concentrating on something. The course seems really hard, but the profs seem pretty nice and down to earth. I hope I don't get kicked out. :O(
