Hmm. recap of my weekend? okay. Didn't do much. I ended up bailing on the UBC boat trip cuz it was suppose to rain and I didn't want to get sea sick. My sis was busy so I didn't want to go by myself was the other reason why I didn't go. Eventhough her friends would be there, I didn't feel comfortable hanging around with my sis's friends without her.
I was suppose to move up to my sis' this weekend but my mum pulled a temper tantrum on me. Sunday morning I call to tell her that I needed to go to the bookstore, and that I would pick up the rest of my stuff in teh afternoon. All she said was "no ur not staying with ur sis." Why? Now this is phunnie, you guys would think my mum went bizurk or something. My sis and I went out for spanish food with two of her girlfriends. We went to karaoke afterwards and got home BEFORE 12. My mum called us a total of 5 times. Starting from 6 in the evening. All the fone calls consisted of "when are you going to come home" "it's 7, u said u'd be home by 7" etc etc. Boooooooy oh boy. We said we were having early din din but that didn't mean we'd be home by 7!! Anyhoos, so becuase we "disobeyed" my mum sat nite, she was pissed and said that I couldn't stay with steffie.
stiff necked as I am, I moved my stuff back down. Didn't talk to my mum and only stated to her "i'm staying at stef's." I wasn't asking, it was a statement. So I moved back up with my sis Sunday nite on condition that this week, I can't go out. Weird eh? It's like I'm some criminal that got let out of jail and I have to sign in with an officer everyday. Oh well, it's not like I have the energy to go out on the weekedays anyways. Okay, so that was my boring weekend.
Today I woke up shivering. It was so cold. Well, colder than normal. The radio said 24 degress. Okay guys, I haven't gone crazy yet. But 24 degrees here feels like 18/19 in Toronto. Normally, it's about 38-40 degrees. It was cloudy all day, so I sort of welcomed this kooler weather than the muggie hot past couple days. I sort of believe my sis now that it can be quite cold here during the winter. I had the idea that this was a tropical area sort of like the carribbean where it won't ever be cold.
Anyhoos, I still haven't got internet up at my sis's place yet. So I might not be able to blog as often as I want to. Things are still going fairly slowly here. I'm trying to take everyone's suggestions they you guys sent me in your e-mails. I am positive!! I am!! I guess although I've visited HK so many times, I'm still not fully prepared for the culture shock? I duno, but if my english classmates can get used to HK and luv it here, I guess I should be able to too? We'll have to see. Right now, I don't think that's going to happen.
Wow, I seem to have a lot to write everytime I blog, but it's about jack! I'm a talented BS-er I guess. Haha. Actually, since I have nothing better to do here in HK, I had a lot of time to think about certian issues and things and I wanted to blog about it. I'll do that when I get my internet up. Hopefully it'll be interesting to you guys (finally, the "and maybe more" part to my "life in a nutshell"). Blog u guys later.
