mid-autumn festival...

This will be my first year celebrating mid-autumn festival with my family in HK. We used to just have a family din din in Toronto. We didn't really celebrate it in Toronto. So today, I was amazed to see so many places put up decorations for the festival. There is this huge globe thingie in the middle of the waters in front of the New Convention Centre. It looks really neat.
Tonight my family decided to go to this big buffet din din up at a restaurant in my sister's complex. Then we would eat mooncakes and other mid-autumn foods out near the outdoor pool area to look at the moon. I've never done that before, so I think it shoudl be phun. Kids running around with those battery powered blow-up lantenrs that play annoying little old folk music will be so soothing to listen to all nite long. NOT! (please take note that when my lil cousins got their lanterns the other day, they were ecstatic, absolutely ecstatic. They proceeded to blow them up and play the music non-stop. I was soooo annoyed) Anyhoos, I learned that they dont' allow u to use the real lanterns with real candles, and u can't float any of those lantern thignis in the pool either. Oh well. I thought we would be able to do the real thing, but nobody uses candles anymore. Hehe.
Let's just say tonite being the evenign with the fullest moon, should be enjoyable (ofcourse u hafta add in the fact that I might just trip some of these cuuuute lil munchikins with their annoying battery powered lanterns into the pool...OOPS! mwahahaha - viv rubs her hands together meliciously).
Tell u guys all about the phun evening I hope to have tonite later. Rite now, I hafta go plan how to remove all those batteries from the lanterns that all the kids will be holding tonite. Hehe. Evil plans are brewing alrite. Mwahahaha.
